Join the OLV Parish Children’s Choir!
Is your child in grades 2 through 8 and passionate about singing? The OLV Parish Children’s Choir is the perfect opportunity for them to express their love for music while participating in our vibrant community!Who Can Join?
The Children’s Choir welcomes all children of the parish in grades 2 through 8. Whether your child attends OLV School or another school, they are invited to join in on the musical fun and spiritual enrichment that the choir offers.Performance Opportunities
Children in the choir will have the chance to participate in several exciting events, including:- Scheduled School Masses: OLV School students will sing during designated Masses throughout the school year.
- Parish Christmas Concert: A highlight of the season, where the entire OLV Music Ministry showcases their talents, including the children's choir!
- Christmas Eve Children's Mass: Mass on Christmas Eve where children can lead the congregation in joyful song.
- Select Weekend Masses: Children will also have opportunities to perform at various weekend Masses.
Additionally, all choir members will have the chance to learn how to cantor, gaining valuable skills in leading worship.Rehearsal Details
Rehearsals take place every Tuesday during the school year:- Time: 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
- Location: OLV School students meet in the Martha-Mary Room for a snack from 3:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Following the snack, they will gather in the church for rehearsal.
- For Other Students: Children from other schools are welcome to join and should meet in the church at 4:00 p.m. for rehearsal.
