Dear Friends:
It was wonderful to see so many of you during Holy Week and Easter! Not only is it one of the most sacred times of the liturgical year, but for me, personally, a time when I truly count my blessings The Lord continues to shine his grace upon all of us at OLV. We are truly fortunate to have such a loving, faith-filled, supportive, and generous community.
I am writing to you today, as I do each spring, to launch our Catholic Service Appeal (CSA). As you know, the CSA supports the greater work of the Church in the Archdiocese of Detroit. Our 2023 CSA goal is $237,163. Anything generated beyond our goal can be kept at the parish and will be used to upgrade the sound system in the church. I am asking each family who is able to join me in contributing $500 toward our target. A donation to the OLV-CSA is the most effective and beneficial way to give a significant donation to CSA while supporting OLV.
As we did for 2022, we will process all gifts here at Our Lady of Victory for this year's CSA. Only the funds themselves will be sent to the diocese. Churches that employ this method have met or exceeded their annual CSA goals, and we will strive to do the same. If your financial situation allows, please consider supporting our parish with the same generous commitment given in the previous CSA campaigns. To make an online donation, OLV has its own giving website via OSV. You do not need to be an OSV member to use the website to make your CSA pledge/donation. Please visit: https://www.osvhub.com/our-lady-of-victory-church-5/giving/funds/olv-csa-2023. For current OSV members, just log into your account, choose make a new gift, then select the OLV-CSA 2023 option. We encourage you to use our direct website. If you prefer to send in a check, payable to: OLV-CSA, you may use the form found at the bottom of our mailer. Please note, all checks are for one-time, payment in full gifts.
Thank you again for your continued stewardship to our Parish and to our local church here in Detroit. May God bless you abundantly!
In Christ, Father Denis Theroux
