In these verses, we see how the risen Christ sent his followers to preach the Gospel in every time and place, so that faith in him might spread to every corner of the earth.  God challenges all of us “to go forth.”  Bishop Paul Loverde, the Bishop of Arlington, says we are all called to take part in this new missionary “going forth.”  Every Christian and every community must discern where the Lord is calling them to go.  Today we have been commissioned to obey His call to go out from our own comfort zone to share the Gospel.
