  • Confirmation Discipleship Lessons

  • October 6 and October 13

    • Session 1:  Why Confirmation?

SEGMENT 1 - WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

There are many questions that burn in the hearts of all those who deeply desire fulfillment for their lives. In this opening segment of "Chosen," the question becomes personal: What are you looking for?

SEGMENT 2 - BEGINNING THE JOURNEY

A lot of people have many different answers to the same question. This session ties all these answers together into a single thread for beginning the journey of faith. Wherever you are along this road, you are not alone.  You are chosen!

    • Session 2:  How do I know God is Real?

      SEGMENT 1:  EVIDENCE OF GOD

God exists. This session explores the explanation for the existence of God, but also gives deeper dimensions to the actuality of God. In other words, God wants you to know not only that he exists, but that he wants to reveal everything about himself to you in Jesus Christ.

      SEGMENT 2:  SCRIPTURE AND TRADITION

God has a dream for you. To find the greatness that God wants your life to be, look to Sacred Scripture and Tradition. This session explores the Church established by Jesus Christ, the legacy of the written and spoken word of God, and the incredible impact it can have on your life.

SEGMENT 3:  OUR RESPONSE TO GOD

Faith is a gift from God, but this eternal offering demands a response.  In this entertaining session on the importance of faith, you see the absolute necessity of trust in your life of faith.  You are encouraged to make the leap of faith, so that you can have life and have it to the full!

    • Session 3:  Living the Mission of Jesus

SEGMENT 1:  WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?

Get ready to know Christ in this session, during which you learn that there are only three possible options to answer the historical figure, known as Jesus of Nazareth. Catholicism shows that the result of these options have a profound impact in your life.

      SEGMENT 2:  EVIDENCE FOR JESUS

Encountering the risen Jesus gives all the evidence that Christians need to know that Christ is the Messiah. This session gives you the reasoning for why the only plausible title for Jesus is the Lord.

SEGMENT 3:  WHY DID JESUS COME TO US?

Find out why Jesus came to earth in this session, which outlines the four answers to this question found in the Catechism. You see the limitless value of God's love for you and how far he is willing to go to reconcile this relationship to its fullness.

      SEGMENT 2:  WHAT IS BAPTISM?

Water is the lifeblood of the world. This session singles out the importance of baptism, and shows how this loaded sacrament is the necessary first step to enter into the kingdom of God. Everyone loves babies and baptisms, but the indelible mark of God's life on that person's soul is the most exciting part of this Christian ritual!

SEGMENT 3:  THE SYMBOLS OF BAPTISM

This session encourages you to look at baptism through the eyes of faith, where you see that this sacred ceremony invites the Trinity to dwell forever in the soul of that individual. On a human level, there is happiness! But in the heavenly realm, there is a celebration beyond your wildest imagination.

SEGMENT 2:  OUR GUIDE AND MAP

The longest distance for any individual is the journey between the head and the heart. But all things are possible with the power of God.  This session explains how the Spirit acts as your teacher and guide for the roadmap of life. The surest way to enter into deeper communion with God is to call upon the Holy Spirit.
