Join the Handbell Ensemble and Add Joyful Music to Our Worship
The beautiful and uplifting sound of handbells can enhance any worship experience, and our parish’s Handbell Ensemble is a key part of this celebration. With performances throughout the year, this ensemble brings a joyous spirit to our liturgies, adding a rich layer of music to Masses, special concerts, and holy celebrations.
Who Can Join?
The Handbell Ensemble is open to anyone from ninth grade and older who wishes to be part of this musical ministry. No audition is required, making it an accessible group for those who love music but may not have a formal background. While having some musical knowledge can be helpful, it’s not a requirement—our rehearsals will guide you through everything you need to know.
During rehearsals, members learn ringing techniques, note recognition, rhythm, and timing. Whether you’ve played an instrument before or are just starting out, this is a welcoming and supportive group where you can grow in your musical skills.
Rehearsals and Performances
The Handbell Ensemble rehearses from September to May on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. These rehearsals are an opportunity to connect with fellow parish members, practice your music, and prepare for upcoming performances.
The ensemble rings at Mass once a month and adds its special sound to our parish’s Christmas concert, making these celebrations even more memorable.
Why Join?
Joining the Handbell Ensemble is not only a way to serve the parish through music, but it’s also a rewarding experience for personal growth. You’ll develop new skills, connect with others in the parish, and contribute to the joy and reverence of our worship services. Plus, there’s something special about hearing your efforts come to life in the harmonious ringing of the bells during Mass.
For those who are interested in joining or would like more information, please reach out to our Music Director. We’re always happy to welcome new members into this vibrant and musical community.
Come and be part of something truly special—share the gift of music with our parish and experience the joy of ringing together!
