To many boys between the grades of 1 through 5, Cub Scouting plays an integral and vital part of their lives. From visits to nature centers to learning how buildings are constructed, to building cars and racing boats to holding snakes and seeing alligators, our Cub Scouts obtain a wealth of knowledge without realizing that they are learning. this is accomplished by putting an element of fun into every project they participate in. Den leaders devise activities for the Cub Scouts to perform which will enable them to earn patches as they work toward the badge for their levels. The scouts are carefully guided through and instructed on the safe use of tools which enable them to construct different projects. Scouts learn about first aid and the importance of keeping a strong body. Boys sometimes have their first camping experiences, which is often continued even after leaving the scouting program, through Cub Scouting. Cub Scouts learn how important God and country is in their lives. Moreover, they learn the value of respect for their families sand each other. With participation from parents and fellow cub scouts, our boys learn the value of independence as well as team work. The morals, values, and skills obtained in scouting follows the scouts from childhood to manhood. For many, it's a lifelong love which is passed from generation to generation. The memories are fond, the experiences are lifelong.
