The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was founded in 1833 to serve impoverished people living in the slums of Paris, France. The primary figure behind the society's founding was Blessed Frederic Ozanam, French lawyer, author, and professor in the Sorbonne.
The Society was named after St. Vincent de Paul because of his tireless efforts in the early 1600's to serve the poor, the sick and others in need. The Church has called St. Vincent de Paul "The Apostle of Charity".
The OLV SVdP Conference meets every
2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., St. John XXIII Room.
We would love for you to join us!
